Bob & VP – On the Road again…March 2014

Hi everyone,

If you’re not aware of it, there is a seasonal tempo that is alive and well in the agile community. As opposed to Elmer Fudd’s “Duck Season”, it’s called “Conference Season”.

In the Spring, it usually goes from March to May or early June. Then every Fall from late September to November there are many conferences related to software development and agile approaches to it.

I’ve been participating in these events since the late 90’s, so I’m a relatively seasoned traveler on “the circuit”.

Now that we’re beginning the 2014 season, I want to periodically give you an update of my whereabouts. I’d love to see you at one of these events, so if our paths cross, please stop and say ‘Hello’.

I have two events in March.

I’ll be presenting several things at the TISQA Software Testing conference in Chapel Hill, NC on March 12-13, 2014.

  • On March 12th, Mary Thorn and I will be presenting a full-day workshop on Keys for Transitioning from Traditional to Agile Testing. We’ve done this together a few times and I love presenting with Mary.
  • On March 13th, I’m honored to be one of the keynote presenters for the conference. I’ll be sharing on How Testers Get Into the Value Stream. I’m also doing a track talk with Shaun Bradshaw on Traditional vs. Agile Metrics.

All in all, it should be a fantastic two-day event. If you want more .

Next I’ll be visiting Austin Texas to present at the conference on March 21’st. This is my first visit to Austin and I’m really looking forward to it. They apparently draw over 400 people to this regional conference.

I’ll be presenting a track talk on Essential Patterns of Mature Agile Leaders.

And the day before the conference, I’ll be presenting 2 half-day workshops as part of a partnership with Agile Velocity. You can get more information .

Hope to see some of you on the road again. Stay agile my friends!

Bob.
